Brunch With Santa At Federico’s Pizzeria

This is the last weekend to get all your Holiday preparations and last-minute shopping done.  I know next week is a wash for me because I have school activities to take up any free time(that’s a lot of fun though).  With snow in the forecast, and it’s sure to be busy where ever you go,  everyone should take an hour out to enjoy some time with the family.

This Saturday, December 19th from 11 am – 1 pm, Federico’s Pizzeria is having Brunch With Santa sponsored by the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber Of Commerce.  If you couldn’t make it to any of the others Santa brunch or breakfasts, this will definitely a be fun break from the Holiday rush(we ate there last night at the request of my three-year old, it’s a favorite).  It’s a great place for the small town holiday experience.  Kind of likeCheers’, “where everybody know your name”.  Federico’s is located at 620 Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach.

Pictures With Santa At Jenkinson’s Sweet Shop

We are spotting Santa Claus all over town!  There must be lots of good little boys and girls living at the Jersey Shore.  Christmas is the best Holiday for treats and sweets, so why wouldn’t Santa be visiting the Sweet Shop at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk?  Of course Santa will be there! On Saturday, December 19th from 3-9 pm, bring the kids for hot chocolate, cookies, milk and a FREE(!) picture with SantaJenkinson’s Sweet Shop will be the one stop shop for Holiday fun, maybe some sweets for under the tree(chocolate-covered gummi bears…YUM!), and a fun holiday coloring contest for the kids.  It’s sure to be quick, family fun right before the big holi-DAY(1 week to go).

Be sure to check out Jenkinson’s Aquarium Sea Of Lights, indoor holiday light display on the same evening.  This event has special hours and limited showing dates.  Read about it on Point Pleasant Parents, Jenkinson’s Aquarium ‘Sea Of Lights’

Brunch With Santa At Ferrara’s

The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce is bringing more Holiday fun to The Beach.  A special guest is coming to town on Sunday, December 13th from 10 am – 2 pm at Ferrara’s Restaurant, located at 518 Arnold Avenue.  Santa Claus will be visiting for brunch and has invited all to come and tell him your Holiday wishes.

Ferrara’s Restaurant offers Italian cuisine and desserts.  A children’s menu is available for children 12 years and younger.  To view the menu or for more information about Ferrara’s, visit their website by clicking on the link or call 732-899-3900.

Breakfast With Santa

This picture is an injustice to this establishment...sorry!

There’s Holiday fun at The Starting Point Grill, located at 500 Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach.  The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber Of Commerce is sponsoring Breakfast With Santa on Sunday, December 6th from 9:00 am to Noon. Children can visit with Santa while enthusiastically eating their entire breakfast(remember…Santa’s watching!).

We had breakfast at the Starting Point Grill just last week.  Our waiter was very eager to tell us about the upcoming event and asked us back.  They have a traditional breakfast menu(we like it), and in New Jersey that means pork roll, egg and cheese(I do taylor ham..sorry).

32nd Annual 2009 Festival of The Sea

   Boats

It’s finally here.  On Saturday, September 19th, from 10am to 7pm, the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce will host it’s 32nd Annual Festival of  the Sea.  This event officially marks the end of summer in the Beach community.  The Festival of the Sea draws more than 60,000 people to the small town for seafood, live entertainment, shopping, and small town fun in a BIG way. This event brings 25 of your favorite restaurants from Jersey Shore to one place and over 200 crafters and artists.  Arnold Avenue becomes a seafood lovers paradise, lined with booths exuding smells of the days’ menu.  Yes, it’s cooked up right there, on the street.  Fresh and ready to be eaten.

This is one event we never miss!  For our family, we get to enjoy the great food we love, without having to worry about getting a sitter or bribing the kids to behave in a restaurant(we don’t do that).  The kids look forward to the festival every year for the games(I can’t count the Goldfish we’ve ended up bringing home over the years!) and booths that line Arnold Avenue and wrap down Bay, full of vendors with great crafts, jewelry, toys and much more.  Definitely give the kids a budget!  I can promise one thing.  No matter what the weatherman says, it’s ALWAYS hot at the Festival of the Sea. Trust me.

    wine taster

New to the Festival this year is the Wine Garden, featuring 10 wineries from our Garden State.  Everything tastes better when it’s ‘home’ made, including the wine.   Just taste for yourself.

There is free shuttle pick-up and drop-off from designated parking areas to ffestival area on Arnold Avenue.  For more information on Shuttle drop-off and pick-up points, visit the Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce website, or call 1-888-PPBFUN2.  The shuttle is a huge parking time saver.

At the end of the day, if you are really looking to end the day with a bang, Jenkinson’s hosting a firework finale!  How else would we do it at ‘The Beach’?  The only thing missing is the pony. Just kidding.  They have ponies too!  Come out and spend time with the locals and visit the 32nd Annual Festival of the Sea.  It will not disappoint.
